SCHOLARSHIPS: 2025 Entry

2-Year Scholarships worth up to £29,000

  • WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

    • We are offering a limited number of 2-year full scholarships into Tennis Avenue School (worth £29,000) and 50% scholarships (worth £14,500) to children aged 8-11. 
    • All players arriving with a GB Top 25 ranking will also be offered the option of  a racket sponsorship contract with XVST or ODEA.

  • WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • We are currently offering scholarships primarily to students enrolling in Year 4 and Year 5 (2025/2026 Academic year). Older children will be considered if they are national standard.
    • We are looking for children who would thrive in a school that enables them to spend 3+ hours each day training in the sport they love. 
    • They must bring a positive energy, a can-do attitude, good behaviour and a desire to work hard and compete at the highest levels. 
    • At the same time we seek parents who will trust us enough to leave the entire tennis development process to our experience and judgement

  • MINIMUM CRITERIA

    • For Y6 and above, to receive a scholarship, players must be national level, competing regularly in LTA Grade 1 and Grade 2 tournaments.
    • For Y4 and Y5 entry, and in certain exceptional cases, we may offer scholarships to players we feel could attain national level within 12 months
    • We are unable to offer scholarships to children who have special educational needs that require resources beyond what we have as standard (due to the additional and uncertain costs involved).

  • PRIVATE ASSESSMENT

    • Submit this form and we will respond within 48 hours with a choice of dates and times for an initial meeting
    • Further to this meeting, we will either make a decision regarding offering a scholarship or invite your child to attend a formal trial/assessment for 2-3 days at the school before making a decision.
    • You will be informed by email of our decision.

  • COMPETE FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

    Players competing in the 8&U and 9&U events in our LTA Grade 3 tournament in July can apply for a scholarship in three easy steps:

    1. Enter the tournament.
    2. Let us know by email to hareen@tennisavenue.school that you have entered the tournament and would like to be assessed for a scholarship.
    3. We will watch at least one of your matches.
    4. We will organise a meeting after your matches to give our feedback and our decision on a scholarship (subject to academic assessment).
